Thank you for your enthusiasm for the 2019 Commercial Street Night Market!  All spots are currently filled.  Details on the 2020 application process will be out shortly.

The Nanaimo Chamber has worked with the city, downtown merchants, and vendors to create an 11 week night market.

Nanaimo’s Commercial Street Night Market will run every Thursday for 11 weeks from June 20th until August 29th.  Commercial Street will be closed to traffic between Terminal Avenue and Church and Chapel Streets.  Museum Way, Wharf, and Skinner streets will also be blocked off.

There is free parking in the Bastion Street parkade and parking lots and meters on Wallace, Wentworth, Cavan, and Selby Streets are also free starting at 5 pm.

Commercial Street from Terminal Avenue to Church & Chapel Streets will be closed to vehicular traffic as artisan vendor booths line the streets selling everything from food to crafts to curios. Live entertainment will be staged at several points downtown. Food trucks will be located on Diana Krall Plaza and a variety of family activities like bouncy castles and climbing walls will be offered on each of the market nights.
